Hello, I’m Hogarth “Hoagy” de la Plante, a Certified Flight Instructor combining 25 years of eclectic flying experience with a passion for teaching people.

I’ve flown everything from jet airliners to aerobatic biplanes and specialize in teaching tailwheel flying, basic aerobatics, and spins.

I am not a “time builder” - I love to teach!

I started flying at age 10 and was working as an airline pilot by age 24. The airline lifestyle didn’t suit me, though, and now I am a videogame creative director with an alter-ego as a flight instructor.
